Our Impact

An account of where the trust stands, and of the advocates who carry out its work.

Where the Trust Stands

Mevlana Legal Trust is at an early stage of its work. It has no caseload figures, success rates or impact statistics to report.

Its panel is a different matter. These are practising advocates with established practices of their own, and the experience described below is theirs rather than the trust's.

The Advocates Behind It

New organisation, experienced practitioners

Gargi Srivastava — Advocate-on-Record, Supreme Court of India

An Advocate-on-Record is one of a limited number of advocates entitled to file matters before the Supreme Court on a client's behalf. Gargi Srivastava handles matters in Delhi/NCR and Uttar Pradesh, appearing before the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court, and maintains an active practice independently of the trust.

Panel Advocates

Matters are assigned to advocates on our panel according to practice area and the urgency of the situation. Each is independently enrolled with a Bar Council and responsible for the conduct of the matters they take on.

What We Will Report

And how we intend to measure ourselves

  • Matters taken on, matters declined, and why we declined them
  • Outcomes as they actually landed, including matters we lost
  • How long applicants waited between applying and first hearing from us
  • Client accounts, published only with explicit written consent and identifying details removed
